In a world where magic is Queen, people lived happily and safely under the protection of the ten guardian goddesses.
Out of the unknown came a powerful demon who brought trouble upon the world, and all the goddesses got captured and locked away.
Evil creatures started to take hold of the nearby villages and threatened the inhabitants.

Zia is a little girl who lives in a village in the mountains with her parents.
When she was younger, she discovered by chance a spell book and started to practice magic.

One day, an old wise man came from the mountain and asked Zia's parents for shelter for one night. At the dinner table, he told Zia about the existence of several spell books spread around the world. Zia got very interested and begged her parents to let her go and look for these books to learn more about magic spells.

During her journey, Zia will discover the trapped goddesses.
Now is your chance to help her rescue the goddesses from the evil creatures by casting magic spells!

The battle system uses magical formulas based on symbols that you learn throughout the game, you must use the arrow keys on your keyboard or gamepad to replicate the magic spell formula and cast it to hit the enemy. Each enemy type is more sensitive to certain magic than others.

I would very much like to update to the new PS1 version that I previously purchased, but I'm only able to download the PC version now.

I have no control over that, please contact itch.io

Same problem here, you could fix it by added the PSX version to your upload of to the PC version

I'm having a bit of an issue updating the game. The PS1 version is no longer accessible to me, but I know I paid for it. Is this because of a price increase or is this something I should be asking itchio's support?

yes, I don't know how this works on itchio side, if you paid for the game you should be able to download it

(1 edit)

I did, but only the PC version is available now. I just wondered what was up with that. I wonder if a Steam version is going to be in the future for you so I can just get the full package with the PS1 version from there and not have to worry about this again?

I cant download the ps1 version anymore either

I'm having exactly the same problem with Yopaz IceStar, I bought it for the PS1 version but now only get downloads for the other versions. I think this is the reason:

"Individually priced files come with a important distinction with regards to ownership: The buyer will only continue to have access to these files if the price they paid satisfies the minimum price you set on the file. This means that if you change the individually priced file to be more expensive you may lock out access to that purchase tier from existing buyers." https://itch.io/docs/creators/pricing

So because OrionSoft happened to sell it a bonus tier above the base purchase we lose access if the price ever increases. Good job, itch.

That explains it. I guess I can't update because of this fumble.

All this talk about wanting a Jaguar port yet nobody mentioned the Saturn. No idea how the homebrew scene is for the Saturn (only familiar with the SMS/GG through 32x from a development PoV and the Dreamcast from the consumer PoV), but this seems like a perfect title for the Saturn.

No idea if there’s a base of Saturn fanatics out there still that would buy it, though. I definitely would!

I made games for about 13 consoles/computers, that mean 13 platforms to learn, I guess that is about enough, learning the saturn would be very time consuming for no real market I guess.

And one more vote for a Jaguar version!  :D

I second that!

Another vote for a Jaguar version. This looks awesome.

unfortunately the game is too complex for the jaguar. I could try a port but it would be downgraded (and Jaguar CD only)

Thanks for the quick reply. Obviously you would know best if a Jaguar port would compromise your game too significantly (enough that you wouldn't work to put your name on it). However, if you are trying to gauge interest on a downgraded Jaguar CD port, consider me still interested.

It would be very nice to see a Jaguar release for this game in particular, as the system doesn't have many games like this.
